PA Fire Police Captain Dies After Apparent Heart Attack

A fire police captain with the Ellsworth (PA) Volunteer Fire Department died after suffering an apparent heart attack after responding to a motor vehicle response, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.

On Saturday, September 4, 2021, Fire Police Captain Laron Holcomb, 73, responded to a vehicle crash. After arriving home, he began to have shortness of breath. He was immediately taken to the hospital but passed away shortly after arrival from an apparent heart attack.
