Worker Trapped After Collapse at Pennsylvania Industrial Site

A worker is presumed dead after a silo collapsed at an industrial site in Bristol Township, Pennsylvania.

The collapse happened around midnight, according to 6 ABC (http://6abc.cm/1x04lA5).

Edgely Fire Company Chief Carl Pierce told reporters that firefighters made every effort to search for the 48-year-old victim, but all were in vain. The focus of the operations have shifted to recovering the victim’s body.

Several fire departments and the Bucks County (PA) Technical Rescue Task Force responded to the scene of what one rescuer described as “the most complicated technical rescue incident you could ever come across in the United States,” a combination of a collapse scene and engulfment scenario.
