A MONEY-MAKING WATERWORKS SYSTEM.
The second annual report of the city of Baraboo, Wis., for the fiscal year ending October 1, shows that the city water plant is a money-maker. During the past year the plant has received $31.357.74 and has paid out $14,545.67. This expenditure includes paying all expenses together with $4,400 paid on bonds and interest, which was transferred to the general fund of the city. Also $1,267.50 was expended for extension of mains, and $1,287.87 was paid on mill property purchased. A large sum of money was expended last year on permanent improvement.
