A Turbine in a South African Mine.

VICTOR TURBINE FOR SOUTH AFRICAN MINE.

The accompanying illustration shows a 15-inch horizontal Victor turbine with iron flume governor and driving pulley complete, the whole mounted on an iron bed plate in a very substantial manner. This turbine was furnished by the Stilwell & Bierce Manufacturing Company, Dayton, O., for driving a plant of mining machinery in South Africa. It operates under eighty feet head and developes satisfactorily.
