A. W. W. A. Convention Number
This issue is the number of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING devoted to the fortieth convention of the American Water Works Association, which takes place in Montreal on June 21 to 24. It has been the custom of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING to make the issue just preceding the convention of the association a special one, featuring water works matters in connection with the gathering and presenting the likeness of many of its most prominent members. This year it has been our endeavor to display the portraits, as far as they were in our possession, of those members who have expressed opinions on the questions as to the future of the association and on standardization of brass goods in connection with services.
We ask a careful perusal of this issue by the water
works men present at the convention, and to those who are not already regular readers, we suggest that they join the great majority of the water works fraternity and become regular recipients of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING weekly. It is YOUR paper, is published to serve you in any way possible, and we ask your support to help us in this aim. There is still time for those who intend to subscribe to come in at the old rate of three dollars per annum. Our representatives are present at the convention, and will be glad to give any further information on the subject and receive your subscription. It would be an advantage for you to become a reader now, as on July 1 the yearly rate, owing to the immense increase of productive expenses, will be raised to four dollars per annum. SUBSCRIBE NOW!
