The soothing influence of an approaching Firemen’s Fair on Washington’s Birthday has acted up on both sides as a temporary flag of truce which has allayed existing animosity for the time being. To do honor to the Father of his Country the ladies have decided to be at least sociable and helpful in dolling up the boys for this grand occasion.
