The new water plant at 28th street, Holland, Mich., has been completed and announcement has been made that the water will be turned into the mains as samples sent to the State chemist have been analyzed. The plant was built in 45 days. It includes fifteen wells, 28 feet deep. There has been no serious shortage in water during the summer and it was not necessary to let the water from the well that has been discontinued back into the mains. When the board decided to build a new water station on 28th street. Superintendent Champion said that it could be completed by August 1. And right on August 1, the new plant was completed and ready for use. It would have been put in operation then if it was not that the department was waiting for the results of the analysis.
