Aid by Air
Four topnotch groups of Zuni and Apache forest fire fighters were flown to Sandpoint, Idaho, on Oct. 1, to help control a fire that burned out more than 1000 acres in the Kanksu National Forest. The 100 specially-trained Indians joined 125 other fire fighters already on the job. They are connected with the forest service in New Mexico.
