All Motor Apparatus in Hutchinson
The fire department of Hutchinson, Kans., of which A. J. Stout is chief, is entirely motorized. The apparatus consists of two motor combination and one triple combination cars. There have been four men always on duty at each fire house, but now, as the law limiting the firemen’s hours to twelve a day soon goes into effect, the force will be doubled. This law covers all cities of the first class, with 15,000 population and over.
Guthrie, Okla., has added 1,500 feet of fire hose to its fire equipment, since the beginning of the year.
Madison, S. D., has added $7,500 fire engine to her protective equipment since the beginning of the year.
