Allis-Chalmers Favorable Annual Report.

The following figures, taken from the annual report of the Allis-Chalmers Company, make a very favorable showing and give a fairly good idea of the large amount of business which is transacted by the company in twelve months. The total earnings for the year ending June 30, 1909, were $1,800,009.37; running expenses, $1,673,577.62, leaving the net earnings for the year $135,431.75; current assets, $12,620,516.33; liabilities, $3,904,875.78, and working capital $8,715,640.55.

A new electric fire alarm system lias been installed at Cumberland, Md., and connected with the local telephone company’s office.
