AN EXCEPTION TO THE RULE.
Chief A. A. Rozetta, of the Nashville fire department, has suspended Capt. Frank Kuhn, of engine company No. 5, during the fire which destroyed the workshop of the Tennessee School for the Blind. Kuhn, according to the statement of the chief, refused to obey an order to enter the burning building. Following the suspension, the chief entered the building, himself aiding in carrying the hose. The suspended man will be tried by the civil service commission under the article which treats of “any act of insubordination or disrespect towards a superior officer” and “neglect or disobedience of orders.”
