Annual Fire Alarm School

Annual Fire Alarm School

When its sixth annual fire alarm operation and maintenance school is held next April, the Far Western Section of the International Municipal Signal Association expects that it will be at the Long Beach, Calif., Fire Department training facilities. The move to what is expected to be the school’s first permanent location was prompted by Chief Tullio Rizzo of Long Beach and his communications officer, Eugene Haufler.

There were 95 students at the school held last spring at the Villa Hotel in San Mateo, Calif. The curriculum next spring will include courses in electronics, radio operation and maintenance, fire alarm circuitry, and personnel evaluation and training. Further information about all the courses and the date of the school, expected to be the first or second week of April, can be obtained by writing to Max R. Schulman, Secretary Treasurer, Far Western Section, International Municipal Signal Association, 8571 Harrison Way, Buena Park, Calif. 90620.
