Annual Meeting of N.F. P. A.
The eighteenth annual meeting of the National Fire Prevention Association will be held at the Auditorium. Chicago, May 5, o and 7, at 10 A. M. The program includes the following addresses: Dr. S. W. btratton. Director Bureau of Standards. Department ot Commerce, U. S. Subject: “Possible Cooperation Between the Federal Government and the National Fire Prevention Association.” Frank D. Chase, President Chicago Chapter N. F. P. A. Subject: “Adoption of N. F. P. A. Standards by State and Municipal Action.” William H. Merrill, Manager Underwriters Laboratories and former president of N. F. P. A. Subject: “New Features in the Work ot Underwriters’ Laboraties.” The afternoon of May 6th will be devoted to a visit to the Laboratories where a program of tests is to be conducted. Beside the usual reports from the regular committees the new Committee on Safety to Life will present its first report; the Committee on Field Practice will offer the complete text of its proposed Inspectors’ Manual; and the Committee on Public Information will report the progress of the association in the formation of its local chapters. The headquarters will be Hotel La Salle. A copy of the complete program will be mailed to every member in advance of the meeting. The executive offices of the association are at 87 Milk Street, Boston, and the principal officers are: President, Robert D. Kohn, New York City; vice-president, Frank M. Drake, Louisville.
