Apparatus Vote Locks Barn Door

After a $20 million fire destroyed an industrial complex, the town meeting on April 12 shifted from a record of five consecutive annual naves and appropriated $28,000 for a new engine for the Bondsville, Mass., Fire Department. It will replace one of Bondsville’s two engines of World War II vintage.
