Asbestos Suits to Fight Oil Fire Via Air Mail

In order to assist and protect workmen attempting to extinguish a burning gas well which had become ignited on the property of the Union Oil Company near Wellington, Col., thirty miles south of Cheyenne, Wyo., the United States air mail was brought into requisition. Asbestos suits have been rushed for the use of these men, being sent from Chicago to Cheyenne by air mail and from there to the well by automobile. These suits have been furnished at the rate of one a day and up to July 28 three had been received. Shipped at Chicago in the evening they arrive at 5:15 A. M., after traversing the entire night flight zone of the air mail service.
