Attend the A. W. W. A. Convention
The annual convention of the American Water Works Association, it is now definitely decided, will be held in the city of Buffalo, N. Y., on June 9 to 13, the headquarters being at the Iroquois Hotel. There is every reason to expect that this convention will be one of the most successful meetings that the association has ever held, and it should be the endeavor of every member of the association to attend and help make it so. Not only this, but every superintendent, chief engineer and other water works man, if not a member of the organization, should join at once and make plans to attend this convention. The benefits to be obtained by the contact with other men who have the same problems as oneself to overcome, and the placing of the methods by which they have achieved or attempted to achieve these results in comparison with one’s own, the exchange of ideas, the rubbing of elbows with others in the same line, and the advantages of the excellent papers presented at these conventions and the discussions which will ensue all make the membership in such an association one hundred per cent more valuable than the comparatively small annual dues and the amount of the expenses of attendance at the convention. Let’s have a big and enthusiastic meeting at Buffalo in June.
