Ballistic Determined to Donate Two Million Dollars’ Worth of Smartphone Cases to Volunteer Firefighters

The Ballistic Case Company set out this holiday season to give back to the volunteer firefighters who risk their lives protecting us every day. These courageous volunteers make more than 700,000 of all firefighters. With the overwhelmingly successful launch of #thanksamillion, in which the $1 million donation goal was surpassed in a single day, Ballistic decided to donate “One Million More” in smartphone cases to these brave men and women.

“Thanks a Million launched on October 30, 2013,” says Hank Goradesky, CEO of Ballistic. “Within 24 hours we received more than 1,300 nominations, easily reaching our donation goal of one million dollars’ worth of smartphone cases. Nominations keep pouring in and we are now over 2,000 volunteer fire stations, allowing us to donate one million more!”

As of now, Ballistic has donated more than 1.3 million dollars’ worth in cases to volunteers. You can join us in saying “Thanks a Million More” by visiting and nominating a firefighter or local station. Volunteer firefighters can also sign up to receive free cases via the Ballistic Facebook page.

“Volunteer firefighters risk their lives for our communities each and every day,” continued Goradesky. “Ballistic wanted to reach out to these brave men and women, and thank them for their service. As we reach the end of this initiative, we’re incredibly pleased with how receptive people were, and are looking forward to developing new ideas in 2014 to continue to help.”

Ballistic will be donating Hard Core, Shell Gel, and SG Maxx cases to nominated firefighters throughout the holidays. The #thanksamillion initiative will be open for nominations through December 22, 2013. Visit Ballistic on Facebook today to nominate your local station, share your story, or simply say thanks to the volunteer firefighters across the country.
