BEWARE OF THE NEW FUEL !
Charles Stinson, a wellknown farmer, whose home is near Waterbury, Conn., has been trying the new mixed fuel, and with good success in farm cooking. He made a fire with it to try out some hog fat. The fire became so hot that it ignited a wooden box near the improvised oven. Then the shed building caught fire, and this and the old barn nearby and a big hennery were consumed. Stinson saved nothing but his opinion of the new compound, losing nearly all his whiskers in the struggle to subdue the flames. Almost all the farmers in this section are neglecting their crops to pay homage to the new fuel.
