Binghamton Honored by Nat’l Firemen’s Ass’n

The Binghamton, N. Y., fire department was doubly honored at the recent convention of the National Firemen’s Association by the re-election of Chief Alfred H. Lyon, of the fire department as vice-president of the association for the state of New York and the election of Harold B. Nichols, of Truck No. 2 as national representative of the association. Mr. Nichols’ duties will consist principally in visiting all the firemen’s conventions to be held the coming year, representing the national association. Mr. Nichols read an address before the association and was given a vote of thanks, and the address was ordered incorporated in the proceedings. Mr. Nichols, besides representing the National Firemen’s Association, is also vice-president of the State Firemen’s Association of New York, and before his election was general eastern representative of the National Firemen’s Association.
