BLAIR TO HEAD FIRE CO.
Columbia, Pa.—Frank J. Blair, of Columbia Fire Company, No. 1, was chosen as captain of the Columbia fire police at a meeting held in Keystone hall. This force is made up from five members from each fire company in the borough, one of each having been elected as a lieutenant. Chief Burgess W. M. D Miller was present and swore in the policemen, whose duties will be confined to the regulation of traffic and the preservation of order at fires.

Roth, lieutenant; Leroy Buck, Jacob Buck, William Billett, William Thomas; Susquenhanna Company, Walter Mann, lieutenant; Edward Dambach, Robert Wertz, Earl Casewlel, Amos R. Bachman; Keystone Company, Clayton Barshinger, lieutenant; Henry Beitzel, John H. Lutz, Ira Moore, and Harry J. Smith.
