The 13th annual meeting of the Box 52 Association of Boston, Mass., was held at 30 Huntington Avenue, Boston, on the evening of October 21. . .

Reports of officers and committees were received following which the annual election took place, resulting as follows: President, William F. Lehman; Vice-President, George C. Ambrose; Secretary, Harry C. Rockett; Asst. Secretary, Frederick Blake; Treasurer, Bartlett Tyler. The following were chosen members of the executive committee: George W. Austin, Guy R. Merrill, William E. Dolan, P. Hildreth Parker, and Fred A. York.

Announcement was made that the annual dinner will be held at the Hotel Westminster on November 10 and that the guest of honor will be Dr. Archer, honorary medical officer of the New York Fire Department.

The association recently presented a gold badge to Chief Daniel F. Sennott, of the Boston Fire Department.

Plans were outlined for the coming season. The attendance was large and included several newly elected members.

New Stutz 1,200-gal. triple combination car recently delivered to the fire department of Yakima, Wash. The cost of the pumper was $13,500, and in the Underwriters’ test, it threw a net average of 1,056 gals. per minute at a net pump pressure of 132.2 pounds per square inch for a period of two hours, with requirements of 1,000 gals., at 120 lbs. In the second test 514 gals, were discharged, at 213.6 lbs., for 30 minutes, with requirements of 500 at 200. Third test 412 gals, at 261.1, with requireinonts of 350 gals, at 250 lbs. An ultimate capacity test resulted in 1,353 gals, at pressure of 136 lbs. During most of test the pumper worked against a 12-inch vacuum in the intake hose, occasioned by the use of fine screens to keep dirt out of the pump
