California Fire Board Named

Governor Warren of California recently announced appointment of a nineteenman advisory committee to the State War Council to deal with the fire protection problem and statewide mobilization of firefighting forces in case of a disaster.

Chief Harold P. Bowhay of Bakersfield, chairman of the new committee, which includes members of the former executive committee of the California Fire Disaster Plan, said that the fire fighting resources of the entire state can be pooled behind any area after appeals from local, county and district coordinators.
