CD Plan Released
The Rhode Island Civil Defense Organization, Major General John M. McGreevy, director, has released its blueprint for survival in the event of an atomic attack on the state.
The operational plan, culmination of a 28-month $262,209 Federal Civil Defense project, details equipment and personnel available for disaster work and fixes responsibilities for all those who would go into action in the event of a nuclear attack.
The plan will also be used as a guide for the development of local survival plans in individual communities and the recruiting and training of essential personnel at the local level. It is contained in a volume of 800 pages with a companion volume of some 160 pages.
