CHIEF FRANCIS T. HALLY OF RAHWAY

Chief Francis T. Hally, who was recently elected Chief of the Fire Department, of Rahway, N. J., has served the department with efficiency for 37 years. For twenty-three years he has served as treasurer of Washington Hose Company. Mr. Hally is a property owner and prominently connected with various organizations, including Rahway Aerie, No. 1863, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Rahway Council, No. 1146, Knights of Columbus; Columbian Club, Exempt Firemen’s Association, Board of Representatives and St. Mary’s Church. The election was held under the supervision of the fire and water committee of the Common Council. Besides the Chief two assistant chiefs were elected. They are Elmer N. Bartz who, for the past five years, has served as a member of Lincoln Hook and Ladder Company, and Ellsworth C. Miller, who has been an active member of Protection Hose Company for the past 33 years.
