Chief Fuller, Pawtucket, R. I., Dead
Charles H. Fuller, seventy years old. Chief of the Pawtucket, R. I., Fire Department since 1914, died at a local hospital where he had been confined for five weeks with an intestinal affliction. He underwent an operation but failed to recover.
He joined the department in 1893 as a call man. In 1898 he was appointed foreman and then he resigned from the fire service for two years. He returned in 1900 as Second Assistant Engineer. Four years later Mr. Fuller became head of the department.
He was a member of the I. A. F. C., New England Association of Fire Chiefs and Rhode Island Fire Chiefs Club. In addition, he was a member of the Masons, Knight Templars. I. O. O. F., and the Royal Arcanum.
Chief Fuller is survived by his widow, a son, three sisters and two grandchildren.
