Chief Granger Orders Changes

Chief James E. Granger of the Cleveland, Ohio, Fire Department has ordered a number of changes in the organization of the department. He has restored the Arson Squad which was abolished by a previous Safety Director. He abolished the division of the city into two districts, transferred five Battalion Chiefs, five Captains, eleven Lieutenants and six first grade firemen. In most cases the men have been moved near to their homes.

A squad car has been added to the Fire Department of Wheeling, W. Va. Six men were moved from three outlying stations to the central station. The squad car answers all alarms outside of the business area.
