Chief Landrey Asked to Resign
Official charges are being prepared against Chief George Landrey of Troy, Ohio, who has been asked to resign by the mayor and who refused to do so.
The mayor stated that the administration feels a change in the fire department will be of benefit to the city. He said his move is in the interest of harmony and efficiency.
But the chief refuses to believe this. He is waiting for official charges to be presented. It has been known that friction between the two heads had existed for some time. It came to a point due to the manner in which a certain fire was handled by Chief Landrey.
