Chief Marchant Honored

Chief Homer R. Marchant of the Gloucester, Mass., Fire Department, was honored by the men of his department on December 16 on the occasion of his twenty-fifth anniversary as Chief.

During his period as Chief he developed one of the most efficient fire fighting forces in the Commonwealth, administered it with due regard for the welfare of the men and the city, and earned a reputation as an able fire fighter.

The Chief was presented with twentyfive silver dollars and a wallet, a token of the esteem of the men.
