Chief Troxell of Morristown

CHIEF ENGINEER RAYMOND B. TROXELL, OF MORRISTOWN, N. J.

Raymond B. Troxell has been appointd by the Morristown, N. J., Board of Aldermen, as chief of the fire department of that city, succeeding. on January 1. Chief Wilbur F. Day, who has been at the head of the department for three years. Chief Troxell has been in the department eleven years, being a member of Resolute Hook and Ladder Company. He is a past assistant foreman and foreman of that company, holding an exempt fireman’s certificate. He has had experience that will stand him in good stead in his new office for he acted as first assistant chief during the illness of the incumbent of that office, the late George B. Cobbett, and when J. F. Runyon was chief Mr. Troxell was appointed acting chief while the chief was residing at Lake Hopatcong. Chief Troxell is manager of the United States Hotel, at Long Branch.
