Chris Noll Dies
Chris W. Noll, Fire Chief in Poughkeepsie. N. Y., for twenty years, died on November 18 after a brief illness.
A fireman since the turn of the century, Chief Noll watched the development of fire companies from the days of horse-drawn apparatus to the present system of motorized equipment and twoway radio.
A past president of the New York State Volunteer Firemen’s Association, Chief Noll has been Secretary of the State Fire Chiefs Association for fifteen years and Secretary of the Hudson Valley Volunteer Firemen’s Association for twenty-six years. He was a founder and former president of the Mid-Hudson and Harlem Valley Fire Chiefs Association and a director of the State Zone Firemen’s Training School.
