Cohoes Firemen Inspected.
The fire department of Cohoes, N. Y., held its annual inspection October 14. In issuing the or der Chief T. C. Collin said: “Employes will wear the regulation uniform with white gloves, and no flowers or other decorations, upon horses or apparatus, will be permitted. The department badge will be worn upon the left breast of the coat.” The department was inspected by Mayor M. D. Hanson and the Board of Fire Commissioners at the City Hall. Headed by Chief T. C. Collin the department paraded in the following order: First Division, Harry B. North, assistant chief; John McCreary, Steamer Company No. 3; Robert Johnston Steamer Company No. 2; J. D. Leversec Hose Company No. 1.
Second Division—Cohoes City Band; William Willett, assistant chief; H. L. Shaver Hose Company No. 2; J. H. Mitchell, Hook and Ladder Company No. 1; Cascade Hose Company No. 3; J. H. Murphy Steamer Company No. 4; Engines No. 1, 2, 3, and 4, and Reserve Engine; Combination Wagons No. 1, 3, 4 and 5; Hook and Ladder Truck No. 1; Supply Wagons No. 1 and 2; Fire Alarm Telegraph Wagon.
