Seagrave Fire Apparatus, Inc., originally The Seagrave Corporation and more recently Seagrave Fire Apparatus Division of FWD Corporation, for many years located in Columbus, Ohio, has been moved in its entirety to the FWD home factors and office location in Clintonville, Wis.
The manufacturing facilities of Seagrave were moved as of July, 1, 1964 and as of July 1, 1965, all office functions including the Sales Department, Service Department, Engineering Department and other associated functions are located at Seagrave Fire Apparatus, Inc., Clintonville, Wis.
“Automatic” Sprinkler Corporation of America has announced the purchase of Badger Fire Extinguisher Company, Inc., Ranson, W. Va. Acquisition of the Badger firm will broaden “Automatic” Sprinkler’s total fire protection and security systems markets by the addition of Badger’s full line of wet water and chemical and portable carbon dioxide extinguishers. Future plans include the manufacture of dry chemical extinguishers.
Edgar K. Paine, president of Badger will continue in that capacity, with no changes in executive personnel. John Howard continues as chief engineer.
Charles L. Hanks has been appointed sales and service engineer for the northeastern United States for Akron Brass Mfg. Company. He was previously sales manager of Globe Mfg. Co.
The Fire Research Group, a part of the Research and Development Department, Chemicals Division, Union Carbide Corporation, has moved its operations from Institute, W. Va., to the company’s technical center at South Charleston, W. Va. The laboratory will now be closer to the various research, development and engineering groups stationed at the center.
Robert J. Madden has joined the Halprln Supply Co., Los Angeles, Calif., for specialized sales work and as a consultant and training officer for extremely critical problems of fire and safety protection. A leading expert in handling hazardous materials, he was formerly in charge of fire protection at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory, Rocketdyne Division, North American Aviation.
