CONNECTICUT FIREMEN’S CONVENTION.
John S. Jones. Westport, Conn., secretary of the Connecticut State Firemen’s association has issued the following circular in connection with the coming convention.
“The eighteenth annual convention of the Connecticut State Firemen’s association, will be held in Saengerbund hall, Central Row, in the city of Hartford, on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 21 and 22, 1901. The headquarters of the president and secretary will be in rooms adjoining the hall, where the executive committee will hold a session at eleven o’clock on Tuesday forenoon. The convention will assemble in the hall at 2 p. m., sharp, of the same day. The secretary and committee on credentials will be at the hall as early as 9 o’clock Tuesday morning, ready for busi ness, and delegates are asked to present their credentials, sign the roll and obtain badge by 11 o’clock. Wednesday morning the convention will be called to order at 10 o’clock. Arrangements will be made for reduced railroad rates. The outlook for a good convention is excellent, and no company in the State, or a department officer, can afford to be unrepresented. An extra effort will be made for a large number of chiefs and assistants to be present.”
