CONVENTION OF THE I. A. F. E.

The annual convention of the International Association of Fire Engineers, which opened at Kansas City, Mo., on June 24 and continued until June 27, was one of the most successful and best-attended the association has ever held. The registration of delegates commenced early in the morning of the 24th in the Doric Room of the Hotel Baltimore, and the sessions were held in the Renaissance Room and Balcony of the hotel. A full report of the proceedings will be given in our next week’s issue, July 9.

Convention of the I. A. F. E.

President A. A. Rosetta, of the International Association of Fire Engineers, intends very soon to call a meeting of the Board of Directors of the association, it is announced, in order to select the meeting place for holding the next convention. At this meeting a program of topics for discussion at the convention will also be arranged. Suggestions are asked for from members as to these matters and these should be in the hands of the secretary, Chief James McFall, P. O. Box 611, Philadelphia, Pa., not later than March 1. So far the cities mentioned as candidates for the convention, according to Secretary McFall, are Atlantic City, Kansas City and Cincinnati. The prospects are for a good, old fashioned meeting, and there will’also be several exhibits of prominent manufacturers.
