Correct Wording of A. W. W. A. Resolution

In the proceedings of the American Water Works Association Convention at Louisville, Ky., published in the May 13 issue the resolution offered by C. M. Baker state board of health, Madison, Wis., should have read to the effect that no cross connections be allowed with any polluted water system or supply. This was amended by J. A. Foulks, chief engineer, division of water. Newark, N. J., to read that cross connections should not be allowed with any foreign supply other than that controlled by the water company or the municipality. The amendment by Mr. Foulks was referred to the executive committee for action.

Dallas, Tex., Has Record Installation Month—The water department of Dallas, Tex., installed more meters in the month of April than in any other month previous. The total was 702— the previous high mark was March with 650 meters installed.

Firm of Vancouver, B. C., Has Large Pipe Order—What is believed to be the largest pipe order ever placed in Western Canada, was awarded to the Vancouver Engineering Works. The order is for thirteen miles of 36-inch pipe for the new Seymour water main. The bid was $500,323.
