Bristol (CT) – Bristol (CT) Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Frank Sousa, 50, died Thursday after he was involved in a single car accident on Metacom Avenue.

Emergency crews responded to 535 Metacom Ave just before 6 p.m. where they discovered a 2012 Chevrolet pickup.

Sousa was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he died.
