THE LATE W. H. HOLMES.

Readers of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING will hear with deep regret of the death of William A. Holmes, which occurred at Denver, Colo., on April 13, 1909. For a number of years Mr. Holmes was well known as a salesman for the Pittsburg Meter company, of East Pittsburg, Pa., and in this connection had acquired an extensive acquaintance in the waterworks field, having been successively stationed in the central, southern and western territories for his company.
