Decrease in Minnesota’s Fire Losses

During 1912 the losses by fire in tne State of Minnesota amounted to $3,591,412.09, as against $5,107,734.45 in 1911—a decrease of $1,515,922. This noteworthy falling off in the state’s fire loss is ascribable to the increased efficiency of the fire marshal’s office, the agitation by tne Fire Prevention League and other agencies of the same kind and the increased watchfulness ana care exercised bv the insurance companies themselves.
