DISORDER IN A FIRE DEPARTMENT.

DISORDER IN A FIRE DEPARTMENT.

At Lima, Ohio, on August 27, Harry Morris, fireman at the central station, knocked down Fire Chief Bert Coates, in an altercation, which it was feared would result in a strike of thirty firemen. The men claim trouble had been brewing between the chief and subordinates for the past several weeks, and they will all go out if the suspension of Morris imposed by the chief were upheld. They give the hoard of pumic safety a certain time to reinstate Morris, and hear charges already prepared against Coates, which are somewhat sensational.
