Easterbrook, Fire Historian, Dead
H. H. Easterbrook, formerly editor of the Firemen’s Standard, died recently in Westboro, Mass. He was the author of a book, “A History of the Newton, Mass., Fire Department,” and a history of the development of fire fighting and fire departments of the world.
He formerly lived in Newton and took great interest in musters and in the records and doings of the veteran firemen’s organizations. He compiled a valuable series of scrap books dealing with fire department activities. Mr. Easterbrook was over seventy years old and had been in failing health for some time.
