CITIES today have funds available for purchases of new equipment and for replacements, a heavy backlog that has piled up during these war years when fire departments have been handicapped at every turn.
- And the priority situation has eased up considerably, thanks to the efforts of several conscientious workers whom we need not here mention by name.
Look to August
- As result of all this potential spending the fire field is in a most receptive mood, reflected in the unusually large number of manufacturers who are asking for space in our forthcoming Fire Chiefs Convention Number in August, to present their products, both old and new.
- Look for this big issue next month the finest in all our 67 years of service to the field; and if you are a manufacturer, remember that the closing date for advertising reservations is July 25.
