Ex-Chief John B. Conlon Dead
John B, Conlon, retired Battalion Chief of the New York Fire Department, and a member of the department for twenty-six years, died at the age of seventy-seven. In 1905, six years before he retired, he was awarded the Congressional Medal for saving fourteen lives during a period of twenty years. For a time he was in charge of the Marine Division.
Chief Conlon was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks. He is survived by three brothers.
