Expert Recommendations for Waukesha Fire Department

Chief T. A. Clancy, of Milwaukee, who was recently called to Waukesha, Wis., as an expert to look over that city, its fire conditions and fire department and make recommendations for necessary improvements, has recommended that motor hose-chemical wagons with ladders, etc., be provided for service in the outlying and residential districts; that the ladder truck respond only to alarms in the central section of the city; that the force be wholly paid; that the present hose wagon be used for auxiliary service; the installation of a fire alarm system, a three-horse hitch for the ladder truck and a hose wagon for the eastern section; also a better water system.
