Through a rare stroke of fate, a photographer was on the scene when fire broke out in the 31-story Andraus Building in Sao Paulo and took 16 lives. Fire fighting, rescue activities and the progression of fire up the building are shown in the film. Scenes also show the use of helicopters to rescue persons who fled to the roof.
