Finerty’s Fire Specialties.
J. J. Finerty, manager of the New York Coupling & Supply Co., 59 Ann street, New York, is wellknown personally and by reputation to a large majority of fire chiefs in the United States. His exhibit at the Columbus convention consists of his own specialties—notably, a full line of fireboat equipments, including rail-pipes, railholders, 3-way gate Siamese, fresh water connections, relief-valves, Deluge, cellar, Acme, Peerless and improved Callahan shut-off nozzles, hydraulic and high-pressure couplings. The new power and hand automatic expander for attaching all sizes of couplings to hose, from J^-in. chemical to 7-in. suction, will be a special feature of the exhibit, as it is pronounced a thorough success, by Battalion Chief Barrett, of New York, Chief Bringhurst, of Seattle, Wash., and others, who have them in use in their respective ••epair-shops. An illustration of them will be found on another page of this issue. Mr. Finerty has for years manufactured all kinds of brass goods for the New York fire department, the U. S. Navy and the National Board of Fire Underwriters, and has recently completed his contract for the equipment of the three new fireboats : the Duane, the Willett, and the Lawrence, of the New York fleet. Miss Helen F. Finerty, daughter of Mr. Finerty, and secretary of the company, will be in charge of the exhibit
