BRIDGETOWN. N. J.—Contract for rebuilding of American-La France fire engine in the local department was awarded to the Combination Ladder Company; cost, $1,760.

RED WING, Minn—The fire commissioners granted the contract for remodeling the Fourth ward enginehouse to I . O. Green, contractor, whose figures were $2,370. I he contract for plumbing and installing of the heating plant has not vet been awarded.

READING. Pa—Councils met in joint session for the purpose of awarding the contract for furnishing the citv with one third-class team tire engine for the Union fire company. The contract was awarded to the American-La hranee Steam Fire Engine Company, of Elmira. N. V.. for $5,250,
