Fire Losses for 1950

Fires destroyed an estimated $688,460,000 in American property during 1950, it was announced by Lewis A. Vincent, general manager of the National Board of Fire Underwriters.

During December, 1950, fire losses totalled an estimated $66,820,000. This represented a decrease of .7 per cent below losses for December, 1949, and an increase of 19.8 per cent over losses in November, 1950.
