Fire Mechanics Meet

Over 125 fire equipment mechanics from fire departments in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Iowa attended the annual Wisconsin Fire Equipment Mechanics Seminar at the Fox Valley Technical Institute in Appleton, Wis., on May 16-17.

The seminar, which was sponsored jointly by the Wisconsin Fire Equipment Mechanics Association and the Wisconsin State Board of Vocational, Technical and Adult Education, featured in this year’s program the maintenance of pumps, brake systems and electrical systems.

Instructors included Bill Turocy and A1 Ambro, technical service representatives of the Leece-Neville Company, Richard Pike, service development and training representative of Delco-Remy Systems; Fred Burdick, field engineer of Grey-Rock; and Tom Hemenway of Rockwell-Standard.
