Fire Programs Manager Named

The National Bureau of Standards has appointed Dr. G. King Walters, professor of physics and space science at Rice University in Houston, as acting manager for one year for the fire programs of the bureau’s Institute for Applied Technology. He assumes line responsibilities for the Office of Fire Research and Safety, the Office of Flammable Fabrics and certain fire research activities in the Building Research Division. Walters is a physicist with a background in the application of science and technology to industry.
