Fire Protection Graduates Join Inspection Bureaus
Seven scholarship graduates in fire protection enginering have been assigned to Midwest inspection and rating bureaus. The four-year scholarships, awarded by the bureaus, were used at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.
The scholarships provided for the payment of full tuition and an allowance of $275 a semester for room and board.
The annual scholarship program is designed to interest young men in the profession of fire protection engineering, to help meet the growing demands of the fire insurance inspection and rating bureau service.
Two of the graduates were assigned to the Illinois Inspection and Rating Bureau, two went to the Ohio Inspection Bureau, and one each to the inspection bureaus in Michigan, Nebraska and Tennessee.
